Apple to offer festive download treats

4th December 2009

Full of festive cheer, Apple has decided that it will be offering free downloads to people in small businesses in IT, as well as everyone else, during the Christmas period.

The company made iTunes12daysofchristmas.co.uk live yesterday, which from Boxing Day will make new downloads available to people willing to use their brand new technology as best they can.

That's because every day, iTunes will be offering a free song, iPhone app, music video, TV show or movie for lucky participants to download.

Every freebie will be made available during a 24-hour window and will be taken down for good after that, while email alerts will allow people to take part in festive competitions to win more products from the company.

Last year's campaign saw freebies from Katy Perry, the Ting Tings and Lily Allen.

This week, the Daily Telegraph launched a new and improved version of its news application to help users of the Apple iPhone to keep abreast of the day's news.

According to a recent survey by Connect, the two biggest IT headaches for businesses were 'everyday hassles with IT' (37 per cent) and 'security concerns' (32 per cent).ADNFCR-1071-ID-19496961-ADNFCR
