Steve Jobs is 'boss of decade'
Steve Jobs, the man behind Apple, has been named the chief executive officer of the decade by a leading business magazine.
Fortune, which forms part of the CNN International media group, described the expert as a man who has an "outsize impact" on whatever he is working with.
The magazine said that he was able to turn any market completely upside-down despite whatever has come before him, changing trends such as with the iPhone.
It explained its decision: "In the past ten years alone he has radically and lucratively reordered three markets - music, movies, and mobile telephones - and his impact on his original industry, computing, has only grown."
Fortune added that despite a six-month rest due to a liver replacement, Jobs has been able to command a 34,000-strong "corporate army" capable of many traits, including power, creativity, secrecy, arrogance and even awe-inspiration.
Despite Western dominance, Jobs may not have broken the Chinese market, with China Unicom announcing that only 5,000 people bought the iPhone in 24 hours of its release via the network provider.
According to a recent survey by Connect, the two biggest IT headaches for businesses were 'everyday hassles with IT' (37 per cent) and 'security concerns' (32 per cent).
