Steve Jobs, the man behind computing megabrand Apple, has been given the accolade of the most admired entrepreneur in the world by the younger generation in a recent US poll.

Speaking to 1,000 teenagers in a survey, Junior Achievement concluded that two-thirds of individuals chose Mr Jobs because they believed he had made the world a better place, such as in small businesses in IT, perhaps through such items as the iPod and iPhone.

Of the overall vote, Mr Jobs received 35 per cent of the vote, with Oprah Winfrey in second (25 per cent) and Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg in third (ten per cent).

Commenting on the results, president of Junior Achievement Jack Kosakowski said: "We live in a celebrity-obsessed culture, so it's no surprise that teens admire famous entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs and Oprah Winfrey, who have built brands around their personas as well as around their products."

Today, it was revealed that Apple are currently developing an FM radio application for its flagship technology the iPhone.

In a recent survey of SMEs for Connect, the two most important benefits of outsourcing were guaranteed response times and allowing in-house IT staff to concentrate on more strategic issues.ADNFCR-1071-ID-19409414-ADNFCR
