Lennon was right: Beatles are bigger than Jesus, says Google
A recent study from an internet giant has proved John Lennon right.
The latest data from Google Trends has discovered that the Beatles truly are bigger than Jesus, with the latter being powerless to oppose the spike in interest surrounding Beatles Rock Band upon its release on September 9th.
It at least finally colludes with John Lennon's famous words in March 1966 to the Evening Standard: "I do not know what will go first, rock'n'roll or Christianity
we're more popular than Jesus now".
Despite all of the hard work surrounding the Beatles advertising over the last few months, Kanye West beat both the band and Jesus himself in Google Trends' recent study.
Of course, his antics on stage at the VMA Awards this year were the primary cause of this, after he jumped up as Taylor Swift collected her award for best video, only for Kanye to take the microphone and say Beyonce deserved it.
Jack White of The White Stripes recently lampooned Kanye's actions, taking the microphone from director Emmett Malloy at the Toronto International Film Festival as he talked about his video for the band's Under Great White Northern Lights, which uses footage from Citizen Kane.
The singer said: "I'm gonna let you finish, I'm gonna let you finish, but Orson Welles did one of the greatest films of all time!"
