Netbooks are 'great for students'
Students who are looking for a cheap computing solution to go back to school, college or university with may want to look to a netbook as a means of solving their problems, it has been stated.
With costs as low as £100 for a starting price, the cost is perfect, according to Reevoo.com's research, highlighting another cheap option for small businesses in IT looking to cut costs in the coming months.
The organisation's study found that back in early 2008, netbooks only represented less than five per cent of the market, while this has now grown to as much as 22 per cent.
Ed Jefferson, Reevoo.com's PC specialist, said: "Netbooks are a great fit for students as they're more portable, meet all the basic needs like essay writing and web research and come with a very reasonable price tag.
"The great reviews they're getting show that shoppers are finding them as or even more satisfactory for their needs than laptops."
Reevoo.com's top netbook to buy is the Samsung NC10, which received 9.1 out of ten and is powered by an Intel Atom processor, with 1GB of RAM and 160GB of hard drive space.
A recent Connect survey found that the two major concerns about outsourcing services like IT support were 'loss of control' (56 per cent) and 'budget over-runs' (43 per cent).
