The Pirate Bay faces shutdown
A Swedish court has ordered that The Pirate Bay be shut down, dealing another big blow to the website.
The legal system of the Scandinavian country ordered its largest internet service provider to pull the plug on the systems or face heavy fines after constant pressure from a number of music and film corporations.
Black Internet, the provider of online tools to the organisation, would be handed down a £43,000 fine if it did not comply with the ruling - one which rules above all else until the case between The Pirate Bay and the entertainment industry is over.
In response, The Pirate Bay is printing a number of t-shirts levelled at the companies which brought the charges against the website.
Proudly displaying the shirt on its website's front page, it said: "I spent months of time and millions of dollars to close down The Pirate Bay and all I'll get is this beautiful t-shirt!".
A recent Connect survey found that the two major concerns about outsourcing services like IT support were 'loss of control' (56 per cent) and 'budget over-runs' (43 per cent).
