Small businesses in IT need to look into modernising their website with high-quality additions to their website in order to enhance the customer experience of the organisation, it is believed.

Siim Vips, the chief executive officer at Modera, explained that it is extremely important for companies to bring value-added content to their websites as they practically serve as a digital shop front for brands.

As a result, such small businesses in IT ought to be ready to "entice, conduct and manage" business and represent the branding which is so important to making money, he continued.

Mr Vips continued: "In challenging economic times and with an extremely competitive online environment, brands need to do more than create and sustain awareness.

"They also need to focus on building loyalty with their online audience - which in turn will drive repeat visits and sales."

According to the most recent eCommerce League Table, Marks and Spencer and John Lewis were able to capitalise on the sales potential of their websites.

According to a recent survey by Connect, the two biggest IT headaches for businesses were 'everyday hassles with IT' (37 per cent) and 'security concerns' (32 per cent).ADNFCR-1071-ID-19283078-ADNFCR
