Remote working 'increasing' during recession
Businesses are increasingly taking advantage of remote working during the recession, it has been claimed.
Companies are changing the way they are working in light of the recession, according to Mark Dixon, chief executive of virtual office firm Regus.
This will also no doubt change the nature of disaster recovery systems for many businesses.
Mr Dixon told eWeek Europe: "With unemployment on the rise, we're also seeing no end of new customers using our services that are starting their own businesses.

Mr Dixon noted that business will also make environmental savings by offering remote working to staff.
His comments follow claims from general manager of Morse by Mark Nutt, who suggested that green savings were being motivated by money savings rather than ethical concerns.
A recent survey for Connect found that one in ten companies has lost important data as a result of a backup failure. The company has now developed a unique online backup service for SMEs to ensure they can survive any disaster.
