Facebook to overhaul security once more
In a bid to make Facebook more user-friendly, the social networking giant is to change its security policy once more, the organisation announced yesterday.
Chris Kelly, the chief privacy officer with Facebook, explained that management of the service the site provides will be enhanced by the changes.
A single page is to be made available to users for them to fully control privacy settings, while a drop-down menu for posted items will also allow people to establish the restrictions they feel are appropriate.
Mr Kelly explained that the changes are all about sharing - the one reason Facebook was set up in the first place.
He concluded: "We're excited about having our users enjoy even greater control over how they share their content and information.
"We're confident that greater control will lead to richer and more useful sharing through Facebook."
Facebook is now the global leader in social networking, originally established on February 4th, 2004 for universities across the US.
In a recent survey of SMEs for Connect, the two most important benefits of outsourcing were guaranteed response times and allowing in-house IT staff to concentrate on more strategic issues.
