Firefox 3.5 released today
Mozilla's latest internet browser offering is released today, increasing the functionality of the product for many users including small businesses in IT.
Firefox 3.5 features a number of major updates to its current browser, which broke the world record for the most downloads in one day after it racked up more than eight million transactions to user computers.
However, the newest version is touting its brand new geolocation software, which allows a user to get local firm information as part of their search should they so wish.
Additionally, private browsing will also be added which will not record a single website visited by a user, while additional anti-malware features will make it one of the safest releases ever offered by Mozilla.
Firefox was created in 2004 by Dave Hyatt and Blake Ross, with three major incarnations being released since day one.
NetApplications registered a 23 per cent market share for the browser which continues to gain ground on the leader, Internet Explorer.
In a recent survey of SMEs for Connect, the two most important benefits of outsourcing were guaranteed response times and allowing in-house IT staff to concentrate on more strategic issues.
