iPhone procrastinators catered for by new app

12th June 2009

If you want to revel in procrastination, you may want to consider getting a new application for the iPhone - unless you want to put it off, that is.

Nick Cernis, a British developer, has pulled together the Put Things Off "laid-back to-do list" for anyone wanting to defer important or not-so-special tasks to a later date.

Designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch, the application lets users push tasks into a virtual tray marked 'put off', automatically moving deferred tasks back into a 'today' tray three days after, at which point people can do it or choose to slip it back under the rug.

In a beautiful twist if irony, Mr Cernis added: "I wish I hadn't sat on the idea for so long now.

"The feedback's been great so far. One user told me I should have made it ages ago."

Many flickers of excitement were recently registered after it was announced that Doom is to come to the iPhone, with the game's creator John Carmack re-imagining the original shooter in true 3D.

According to a recent survey by Connect, the two biggest IT headaches for businesses were 'everyday hassles with IT' (37 per cent) and 'security concerns' (32 per cent).ADNFCR-1071-ID-19217244-ADNFCR
