IT 'plays a part in everything'
Education mogul Sir Jim Rose is furthering the education of this country through his initiative to give IT a major boost in the primary curriculum and put it at the forefront of education, it has been stated.
The National Association of Advisors for Computers in Education (Naace) stated that Sir Jim's recommendations to improve the quality of IT teaching could improve the quality of education in the UK.
Paul Springford, a professional officer at Naace, stated that his organisation believed originally that most computing facilities in primary schools across the country were not suitable to the needs of pupils and as a result, many were being held back.
He continued: "We were very clear that ICT has a part to play in just about every aspect of learning and we're keen to see it embedded in those other areas of learning and, essentially, that is what Rose has come up with so we are very happy in that respect."
Established in 1984, Naace is a professional association for those working in ICT in education.
More than half of small businesses (53 per cent) believe that the most important benefit of outsourcing is guaranteed response times for IT support. London-based Connect conducted the research in 2007.
