Outsourcing is 'not regrettable' for small businesses in IT
Small businesses in IT who look to online IT support to provide them with software solutions do not regret making the choice they have, according to a recent report.
In the survey carried out by Vanson Bourne, it was found that out of 100 chief information officers and UK IT directors using the technology, 80 of them were confident in their investment and in how it could deliver solid savings.
Speaking to vnunet.com, Brian Stones of Patni Computer Systems, which hired Vanson to look into the figures, said that outsourcing is also driven by a lack of skills within companies to run the software.
He continued: "It's not surprising to see that financial services companies in particular are embracing outsourcing as it helps them, along with other vertical sectors, to ensure the ability to maintain service delivery and plug the skills gap during these uncertain times."
The survey follows comments from the Sunday Business Post, which recommends the use of outsourcing as a way to cut down on costs and states that late adoption could result in more money lost in the current climate.
According to a recent survey by Connect, the two biggest IT headaches for businesses were 'everyday hassles with IT' (37 per cent) and 'security concerns' (32 per cent).
