Twitter co-founder insists site is not for sale
The increasingly popular website based around micro-blogging, Twitter, is not for sale, a recent report has revealed.
According to Reuters, Twitter creator Biz Stone spoke of how it was able to support itself in the marketplace, although there may be room for high-profile partnerships with websites such as search engine king Google.
Recently, rumours began to surround the company as to how it would be able to support itself in the current economic climate, comparing it to the likes of Facebook and its campaign to slowly allow advertising into the service.
Despite this, Mr Stone told the news agency that it was capable of formulating its own business model.
He continued: "Right now we're in a really strong position because we have a lot of money in the bank and we're looking to hire and we have time to iterate some of these revenue opportunities."
The recent shootings in Germany, where 17-year-old gunman Tim Kretschmer shot and killed 16 people and then himself, was widely reported on Twitter before the national press got hold of the stories, it was revealed.
More than half of small businesses (53 per cent) believe that the most important benefit of outsourcing is guaranteed response times for IT support. London-based Connect conducted the research in 2007.
