Samuel L Jackson promotes super-fast broadband
Virgin Media has recruited Samuel L Jackson, the top-notch Hollywood actor, to advertise its new "super-fast" 50Mb broadband connection service, it has been announced.
Launched on January 3rd, the campaign promotes the new fibre-optic package which can download a film in three minutes, with music albums taking only 11 seconds.
The Samuel L Jackson-led commercial is set to coincide with the FA Cup third round coverage on ITV.
Managing director of brand and marketing at Virgin Media Ashley Stockwell stated: "Samuel L Jackson is an unmistakably powerful voice to deliver our message and bring the impact of ultrafast broadband right into people's living room."
He added that the 50Mb connection could provide society with a great number of benefits, particularly for social and new media projects, concluding that it is a "massive leap forward for the broadband market".
Samuel L Jackson most recently starred in the Spirit playing evil scientist the Octopus alongside Scarlet Johansson, with the Swedish actress playing Silken Floss.
More than half of small businesses (53 per cent) believe that the most important benefit of outsourcing is guaranteed response times for IT support. London-based Connect conducted the research in 2007.
