Stonewall
Stonewall works to achieve equality and justice for lesbians, gay men and bisexual people.
What was their problem?
As a charity, Stonewall is committed to ensuring their funds are spent in the most efficient manner. During the past few years, the organisation has grown considerably as need for their services has expanded. One of the consequences of this growth has been that the demands made on the IT system have also increased. To ensure that the organisation has a stable, secure and functional IT network, Stonewall approached Connect to see how they could help.
How did Connect help?
After a competitive pitch, Connect was appointed to provide IT helpdesk support with a back up team of on-site engineers. Since then, the service has had to cope with the changes required by Stonewall during a period of rapid expansion. Over the past four years, Connect’s helpdesk team has been able to resolve more than 90% of Stonewall’s IT problems remotely – a comparable figure for companies and organisations of this size. One of the key features of Connect’s service is that they offer guaranteed, fixed times for on-site engineers to respond to any IT problem that cannot be tackled by the helpdesk team. Stonewall also requires support in different office locations as well as for staff working remotely from home. Connect has IT engineers based across the UK enabling the company to provide cover in different geographic locations.
